I Found A Dog
Step 1
Fill out a Found Dog Report, by using this link. Please note that reports are added to the website every day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please follow the steps below to hopefully reunite the animal with owner.
- Post small flyers on neighbors' doors and post large flyers at major intersections around your neighborhood.
- Check Nextdoor app for the neighborhood where your dog was found and post dog with picture.
- Check and post to the many lost pet Facebook pages for our area.
- Check Craigslist for lost dog posts in the Lost & Found category and create a found ad with picture.
- Take dog to local Vet or Shelter to have scanned for microchip. If has a chip, contact the chip company to see if they have any owner information.
Step 2
Appointments and/or participation in our Finder to Foster Program assist our community in minimizing capacity-related euthanasia, but walk-ups are welcome. For details regarding walk-in times and/or to set an appointment, please go to Stray Dog Appointment or call 209-558-7387 option 1 to request the assistance of an animal control officer for sick, injured, or aggressive animal pick-up.
